We, the A.D group of Rice mills, 50 yrs old group in Rice business. It’s our family business owned and operated by 4 blood brothers. We own M/s Udayakumar Modern Rice Mill and A.Duraisamy Modern Rice Mill both located at Salem, Tamilnadu. Our brand Rettai Kili (Double Parrot) in which we market the rice is one of the famous and largest selling brand in Tamilnadu and certain important cities of South India. With our wide experience of 60 years in the domain, we offer finest quality south indian rice varities like Thanjavur Ponni rice, Andhra Sona Masoori rice, Idli rice, Dosa Rice, Steamed rice, Kerala Red rice and Organic Hand Pounded Brown Rice which are sourced from reliable and local farmers. Possessing state-of-the-art processing and warehousing facilities, we make sure of offering finest quality Rice varities and Rice based Products in cognizance with World Class Hygiene and Export Standards.

Our journey towards excellence started about 80 years back, when our Great Great Grand Mother, Mrs Chellammal sold "Kacha Rice", carrying the same in baskets on her head.

In the year 1969, Our grand father, the doyen of rice industry in Salem, Sri A Duraisamy entered into the Industry by processing paddy in a hired Rice Mill where all the processes were carried out manually in tune with the local processing standards of those days.

The entrepreneur spark lighted up in him at this stage made him start our first Rice Mill, M/S Udayakumar Modern Rice Mill in 1974, without any modern machinery. This was further Ably assisted by his two elder sons and together with their new concepts and ideas, he blazed into the industry.

In 1989, he started another rice mill, M/S A Duraisamy Modern Rice Mill, in which his two younger sons were inducted. Presently his grandsons of third generation have assumed the mantle.
