ACTOFLOXTM Composition Actoflox-250 ts: Each film-coated t contains Levofloxacin Hemihydrate equivalent to Levofloxacin 250 mg Actoflox-500 ts: Each film-coated t contains Levofloxacin Hemihydrate equivalent to Levofloxacin 500 mg Levofloxacin is a synthetic antibacterial agent belonging to the fluoroquinolone group. The mechanism of action of levofloxacin involves inhibition of bacterial topoisomerase IV and DNA gyrase (both of which are type II topoisomerases), enzymes required for DNA repcation, transcription, repair and recombination.
