The Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 has been enacted to adopt The Model Law on International Commercial Arbitration 1985 and UNCITRAL Conciliation Rules, 1980 as proposed by the wing of UN. Hence Indian Law is enacted almost in the lines of the International law ensuring speedy conclusion and reduced interventions of the courts.
